The first lady of Egypt, Susan Mubarak, sent a letter to the first
lady of Azerbaijan, the president of the Heydar Aliyev Fund, goodwill
ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, and deputy of the Milli Majlis,
Mekhriban Aliyeva, AzerTag reports.
Susan Mubarak is the chairman of the Guardian Council of the
well-known Alexandrian Library in Egypt. She said that the council
members voted unanimously to elect Mekhriban Khanum Aliyeva an
honorary member of the Guardian Council.
AzerTag reported that the world’s most authoritative scientist and
outstanding social-political figures of the world are members of the
council.
The Alexandrian Library is a distinctive institution with an
international mandate. The library, established by Egyptian law, is
not in the sphere of the government and is subject to the head of the
country. Such never-seen-before autonomy provides the Guardian Council
with great opportunities.
The first lady of Egypt expressed confidence that the high intellect
and skill of Mekhriban Khanum Aliyeva will promote solutions to many
issues and noted that she will be welcome to visit the library.
