An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 points has occured at Khakkari in the Van Province of Turkey, which had been struck by a 7.2-point earthquake in the same area on Sunday, the US Geological Survey said, RIA Novosti reports.
Quakes were registered at a depth of 14 km at 11.04 am. The earthquake center was registered to the south-east of Khakkari, near the Iraqi border. There has been no information on damage or injuries.
The earthquake in Van Province took place on October 23 and had a magnitude of 7.2. Local sources say 500-1,000 people died. The death toll had reached 523 people this morning, with over 1,600 injured.
