Soldier Popov does not confess of desertion

Soldier Andrei Popov, who returned from captivity in Dagestan has denied information of the investigation according to which he had confessed of desertion, Interfax reports. Earlier it was reported that a soldier from Saratov region, Andrei Popov, admitted that he had deserted from the army, although he had claimed that spent 11 years in slavery in Dagestan, the press service of the Chief Military Investigation Department reported.
 
Popov claimed to have been enslaved by the owners of brickworks in Kaspiysk. He escaped from the factory in August this year and turned to the police.
