The head of Adygea, Aslan Tkhakushinov, has signed a decree on proclaiming November 7 a holiday in connection with the celebration of Eid al-Adha, RIA Novosti reports.
Eid al-Adha is the Feast of Sacrifice, one of the most important days in the Muslim calendar. In 2011 it will take place on November 6, while celebrations will continue for two more days.
