Ulyanovsk is hosting the Second All-Russian Youth Forum “Multinational Russia”, ITAR-TASS reports.
The forum is to invite young activists for formation of the civil society, based on principles of solidarity, respect and mutual understanding, preservation and development of culture and languages of peoples of Russia, Deputy Minister for Education of the Ulyanovsk Region Olga Kurakina said.
One of the goals is formation of expert groups to make up plans to solve inter-ethnic problems of Russia.
Ulyanovsk is a cultural center of the CIS on Volga River. It is inhabited by Tatars, Chuvashs, Erzya, Mokshans and other ethnic groups. Governor Sergey Morozov says that power lies in unity and solidarity.
The forum gives youth a chance for communication, formation of contacts, exchange of ideas, Chairman of the regional office of the Union of Russia’s Armenians, Arsen Abramyan, says.
The forum was organized by the National Council of Youth and Children’s Unions of Russia, the government of Ulyanovsk Region, the All-Russian Public Organization “Union of Russia’s Armenians”. President of the union Ara Abramyan underlined that the power of the state is in the strong unity. The forum will be concluded with formation of proposals on resolution of inter-ethnic and other problems.
