At least 15 people killed on Saturday after two explosions hit a military base to the west of Iran’s capital, Tehran, RIA Novosti reports.
Fars news agency said that the explosion hit a military base of the Revolutionary Guards, Iran's elite military force. The base’s official confirmed that 15 people had been killed in the explosion.
The blast was reported to have been heard in central Tehran, which is some 40kms away. Local authorities denied the version of terrorist attack, saying that the blast was an accident.
