The Georgian Minister for the Economy and Sustainable Development, Vera Kobalia, said on Facebook that construction of the new airport in Kutaisi will start in December and will be completed in September 2012, Business Georgia reports.
The new airport will serve internal and international flights. It will have a high passenger flow. The terminal will have three runways, compared with the one runway at Tbilisi International Airport.
