Armenia to hold tests for citizens wishing to obtain Russian citizenship

Armenia will hold tests in the Russian language for people wishing to be granted Russian citizenship, News Armenia reports.


Yekaterina Kulikova, Deputy Director of the International Center for tests of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, attended the first exam session. Natalya Yeremenko, a PhD in pedagogy, and Gurgen Barikyan, Executive Director of the Russian Studies and Methodology Center for Russian Language, PhD in pedagogy, organized special training.


According to the Russian federal law on citizenship of May 31st, 2002, granting of citizenship requires knowledge of the Russian language.
