Clergy of the Greek Orthodox Church and the Armenian Apostolic Church had a brawl at the Basilica of the Nativity in Bethlehem on December 28, RBC reports.
About a hundred priests of both confessions started insulting each other and then fighting with brooms. The police stopped the conflict without detaining anyone.
The Basilica of the Nativity was built on the site of Jesus' birth. It is one of the most holy spots of Christianity and a disputed building of the two churches. Its financing has not been resolved yet. The 1,700-year old building is in poor condition.
