TURKSOY has announced 2012 as the Year of Mirza Fatali Ahundzade, an Azerbaijani thinker, founder of national drama and well-known public figure and enlightener.
The year will mark his 200th anniversary. The initiative came from the Azerbaijani Minister for Culture and Tourism, Trend reports.
TURKSOY plans to open the Year of Ahundzade at its headquarters in Ankara in January.
