The European Broadcasting Union held a meeting in Geneva in December 2011 to discuss the "Eurovision-2012" song contest to be held in Baku, Trend cites the Turkish news portal Toplumsalhafiza as saying.
The preparations for the contest, construction of a concert complex, the issues of visas and communication were discussed at the meeting. After the meeting the union decided that no problems were revealed in the preparation for the contest.
The countries participating in the meeting stressed that the BBC has recently been conducting a campaign against the "Eurovision" contest to be held in Baku. The BBC's campaign is greatly damaging "Eurovision".
In particular, Damon McGuinness's articles, which were published in "The Times", "The Telegraph" and "The Week", were singled out.
The participants of the meeting decided to send a warning to the BBC, which is connecting some construction operations in Baku with the "Eurovision" song contest to be held in the city.
