A militant attack took place in the Kizlyar District of Dagestan on the night of January 10-11, IA Dagestan reports.
The attack happened 3 km away from the Bolshaya Areshevka Village at about 0.10 am. Unidentified assailants opened fire at the police searching through the area. Counter fire was opened. Three militants were surrounded.
The police studied the area in the morning. They found one dead militant who is being identified. A submachine gun, an F-1 grenade and ammo were found.
A police officer was injured in the operation.
The Vulkan-3 plan remains in force.
