Kazakh President Nursultant Nazarbayev ordered prosecutors to maintain order during the parliamentary polls, Trend reports.
Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev chaired a video conference with prosecutors on January 11. Territorial prosecutors were ordered to prevent all violations immediately. Special attention will be paid to prevention of crime during the day of the vote at polling stations.
Regional prosecutors reported on local activities and measures to maintain public order during the polls.
Daulbayev expects parliamentary candidates and their headquarters to take measures to obey the law and uphold the constitutional rights of citizens.
