Chechen State University receives grant for development of science potential

The Chechen State University has received a grant worth 247 million rubles, the press service of the Chechen government says.

The university won the tender for support of programs for strategic development of state higher education centers, organized by the Russian Ministry for Education and Science.

Tamara Mazayeva, deputy head of the university for science work, said that the finances will be spent on formation of science infrastructure in 2012-2014.

She noted that the university plans to form the Science Research Institute for Mathematical Physics and Seismodynamics, a technical park and a science research laboratory with advanced equipment.

One of priority goals of the Chechen State University is revival of science potential. This requires formation of up-to-date science infrastructure. Reception of such prestigious grant will contribute to fulfilling the goals and promoting the university as one of the most advanced science centers in the North Caucasus, Mazayeva says.
