Oldest copy of Quran to be displayed at British Museum

The British National Library has presented a 8th-century manuscript to the British Museum in London, dedicated to pilgrimage to Mecca, TRT reports.

The museum said that it is the oldest handwritten copy of the Holy Quran which will be presented at an exhibition entitled “Hajj: journey to the heart of Islam” on January 26 – April 15. Officials say that many Muslim theologists and scientists will arrive from other states to see the rare manuscript.
