The rules for mobile text votes at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 have been changed, 1news.az reports.
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) restored the screen for TV votes after the final song because most people vote after the final song.
The special screen appearing after a singer’s performance reminded about opportunities for voting and distracted them from the song itself. Voting takes 15 minutes after the final song.
Text voting in 2011 started right after the first song and continued throughout the whole concert.
