Adygeya has launched a Caucasian social network for use by all peoples of the region, Yuga.ru reports.
Zurab Yedgulov, founder of “Зихи.ру”, said that the idea for consolidation was inspired by events at the Manezhnaya Square, when social networks were used for expression of hatred between peoples basing on nationality. The new website will allow everyone to share events in the republic, region, city, district or even street with others.
Most users of the website are from Adygeya, but developers hope that users from other regions of the North Caucasus and the Krasnodar Territory would join in.
The Muslim social network SalamWorld is expected to be launched in spring 2012. It is expected to resemble Facebook.
