The Russian Emergencies Ministry has warned about possible power shortages, and the malfunctioning of communication and housing and utilities services in 7 regions of the North Caucasus due to poor weather conditions, RIA Novosti reports.
Problems on the territory of 7 regions and 25 municipal districts may be caused by heavy snow and ice breaking power lines. The same weather is expected in the Southern and the Far East Federal Districts. Ground and air transport may be disrupted.
