US sailors have saved Iranian fishermen again, RIA Novosti reports.
Six Iranians were saved from a sinking freight vessel in the Gulf on January 13. 13 other fishermen were saved in the Armavir Sea earlier. They were hostages of pirates for over 40 days.
Helicopters saw sinking vessels and informed destroyer USS Dewey. The fishermen tried to save their vessel from sinking for 3 days. The US gave them 70 kg of food, water and other goods.
The number of Iranians saved increased after the scandal with the US aircraft carrier John C. Stennis. It entered the Hormuz Strait during Iranian naval drills.
