Kabardino-Balkaria to open cadet school

The Babugent Boarding School plans to open a Republican Cadet School specializing in border guarding, Vestnik Kavkaza cites a press release of the Border Directorate of the Russian FSB in Kabardino-Balkaria as saying.
The decision was made at a meeting held by Chairman of Government of Kabardino-Balkaria, Ivan Gerter, on January 19, 2012. Alexey Berbitsky, Chief Federal Inspector of Kabardino-Balkaria, Makhti Temirzhanov, head of the administration of Cherek District, Anatoly Pugachev, head of the FSB Border Directorate in Kabardino-Balkaria, and other officials attended the meeting.
The idea of opening the education center was introduced by the head of Kabardino-Balkaria, Arsen Kanokov, during his visit to the Cherek District in September 2011, as an operative reaction to an initiative of Lukman Mokayev, the director of the boarding school.
The Cherek District is located on the border zone and always has many people willing to start a military career. Kanokov supported the initiative and ordered the government to realize it.
The cadet school will be based on the structure of the Aksay Cadet School and the Gorsk Cadet School in Ingushetia. Colonel Pugachev assured that he will take part in realization of the initiative.
Gerter ordered the composition of a cost sheet to improve the basic material means of the boarding school.
