Chechen leader notes return of Russian-speaking population

The mass outflow of the Russian-speaking population happened during the war in Chechnya and now people have started returning, Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov said at the Forum of People of Russia’s South in Kislovodsk.

Commenting on measures needed for return of the Russian-speaking population, Kadyrov said that such question in inappropriate.

The Chechen leader reminded that both the Russian and Chechens and people of other nationalities were all running from war. More Chechens left the republic than others. Tens of thousands of the m live in Europe, tens of thousands in Kazakhstan, Turkey and other states. Chechnya is trying to form conditions for their return. There are no national preferences, Kadyrov notes.
