About 30 flights have been cancelled at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul due to heavy snow today, RIA Novosti reports.
Many domestic flights were cancelled. The snow started on Sunday night. Locals were recommended to avoid using personal transport for two days.
Rescue services in Hatay Province in the south-east of Turkey were mobilized to remove water from the local airport, where the runway had been submerged. All flights were cancelled for two days.
