An explosion on the main Azerbaijani gas pipeline caused a fire which is still continuing, APA reports. Despite the termination of delivery of gas through the main pipeline, the gas remaining in the tube continues to burn.
The explosion has caused disruptions of gas supplies to the Geichaisky, Agdashsky and Uzharsky districts of Azerbaijan.
About 11:30 AM today a gas leak at the 118-th km of the gas pipeline caused a major explosion.
