Iranian police officers responsible for Internet security have arrested four admins of a Facebook group for organizing a virtual beauty contest, Radio Svoboda reports.
Kamal Hadian, head of the Police Department for Internet Security, said that they took control over the group involved in spreading acts of “corruption and impudence”.
The police arrested two males and two females. Over 25,000 Iranians joined the group posting their photographs. They may be persecuted as well.
Access to Facebook in Iran has been blocked for a long time. Special software allows Internet users to bypass the blocks.
