Israel demands better labour conditions

Israel is holding a national strike, organized by the Gistadrut Trade Union, ITAR-TASS reports.

Bus companies and education centers are not taking part in the strike. The Ben Gurion International Airport will start operating at 12 pm. State hospitals, the Electric Company , administration of water resources will operate according to their Saturday schedules.

Strikers are demanding improvements in labour conditions. The first strike was organized in November 2011, the court ordered negotiations to be held to reach a compromise. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues searching for a mutually beneficial solution. A new round of talks will be held today.
