Abkhazia rejects Georgia’s neutral passports

Abkhazia does not plan to use neutral passports proposed by Georgia, Abkhaz President Alexander Ankvab said at a meeting with Georgian Ambassador to the European Union Philipp Dimitrov in Sukhumi, Interfax reports.

Ankvab said that his republic’s international passports meet all international standards, although unrecognized in Europe and other parts of the world.

The Abkhaz president reminded that the UN offered neutral passports to the republic. He concluded that Russia is already helping Abkhazia and no other documents are needed.
