An earthquake occurred in Armenia, 17 km north-east of Artashat (Ararat Region, near the Armenian-Turkish border) at 7:47 am today. It had a magnitude of 2.4 points, RIA Novosti reports.
The earthquake center had a magnitude of up to 3 points.
It is the third earthquake registered in Armenia in the last 9 days. Earthquakes were registered in Masis (Ararat Region) on February 7 and Aparan (Aragatsotn Region) on February 10 with a magnitude of 2.7 and 3-4 at the center.
