Police have surrounded a group of militants on the border of Dagestan and Chechnya this morning, RIA Novosti reports.
Chechen police were searching the area and found a militant group. Three officers from the Vedensky regional police department were shot, six others were wounded. An operation is being held in the zone of the Kazbekovsky District of Dagestan.
No details on militant casualties have been given yet.
