The Zamoskvoretsky Court has prolonged detention of Rasul Mirzayev, World Mixed Fight Champion who killed student Ivan Agafonov with a single hit, for three more months, Gazeta.ru reports.
The court released the athlete on bail of 100,000 rubles two days ago. Press secretary of the court Anna Usacheva said that the court failed to give reasons for releasing the suspect. She reminded that Mirzayev’s residence in Moscow differed from the temporary registry he had.
Mirzayev’s case provoked a public outrage. People had sympathy towards both sides of the conflict at the Garazh Club. The first court processing the case released the athlete. The Moscow City Court cancelled the decision and ordered detention.
