Gus Hiddink becomes Chief Coach of Anzhi FC

Gus Hiddink (Holland) has become the new Chief Coach of Makhachkala Anzhi, Vzglyad reports.

A contract was signed for 18 months. It will be the first permanent job of Hiddink in the last 6 months. The coach will be appointed in the next 24 hours.

Hiddink will join Anzhi FC in Turkey. He will reportedly receive 10 million euros.

Yuri Krasnozhan became a coach for the team in late December, a contract with him was cancelled in mid-February. Fabio Capello and Gus Huddink were the two candidates for the position.

Hiddink was also of interest to London Chelsea. The club wanted to replace Andre Villas-Boas. The owner of the London football club, Roman Abramovich, wanted to hire Hiddink for the end of the season.

Hiddink helped Russia win bronze medals at the 2008 European Championship.
