2 students killed in attack on school bus in southern Turkey

Two students were killed and another was wounded in a recent attack on a school bus in the Kadirli district of Osmaniye Province in southern Turkey, Hurriyet Daily News reports.

The bus was ambushed by a gunman as it left the school grounds at the end of the school day.

Three 16-year-old girls were wounded at the scene and taken immediately to a nearby hospital. Two of the girls died and the third is still undergoing treatment.

Reports claimed the gunman had been turned down by one of the girls and shot at the bus in revenge for his unreturned affections. The girl died after the attack.

Police forces have begun a widespread search for the suspect.
