Two militants were killed in a special operation in Dagestan’s Khasavyurtovsky District today, RIA Novosti reports.
The special operation started in the Mutsalaul Village of the Khasavyurtovsky District on Thursday. Law enforcers assaulted a house with 3-4 militants inside after their refusal to give up. The special operation was renewed on Friday morning. Two militants were killed.
A source said that the operation ended at night, but the law enforcers entered the building in the morning. One of the militants was a local from the Novositli Village of Khasavyurtovsky District, the other one was from the Mutsalaul Village of the same district. One of them was a local militant leader.
According to the National Counter-Terrorism Committee, one of the militants was Ahmed Pakhrudin, 1988, head of the Mutsalaul gang on the wanted list. The other one was Magomed Sharapudinov, an active member of the militant group.
