The police of Dagestan are searching for militants that attacked a polling station in the Khasavyurtovsky District and killed three police officers on March 4, RBC reports.
The area where the assailants are hiding has been surrounded.
The Russian Interior Ministry has expressed condolences over deaths of Police Captain Shamil Ismailov, Warrant Officer Aligaji Ismailov and Senior Sergeant Shagban Razakov. Sh. Ismailov and A. Ismailov have two children.
Vestnik Kavkaza reported earlier that the polling station an hour after the polls ended. Three masked assailants killed three police officers. One militant was killed with counter-fire. He had a weapon and a grenade.
