Over 2,000 without power in Sochi

Over 2,000 people suffer from a power cut, caused by a crash at a substation in Sochi about a week ago, RIA Novosti reports.


The Pasechnaya substation of 110 KW was broken down by a fire. 16,200 people were left without electricity in the Central District of Sochi. Specialists restored power for the Mamayka and KSM Microdistricts.


168 houses with 2,196 residents, including 902 children, were without electricity at 6 am on March 8.

Specialists assured that power will be back at 10 am. The system will be fixed in 15 days.


Temperature has ranged from -5 to +5 C since early March.
