Bridge over River Argun opens in Chechnya

A new bridge of River Argun has opened at the Village of Islkhoy-Yurt of the Itum-Kalinsky District of Chechnya with a length of 48 meters and width of 5 meters, Yuga.ru reports.

Three families live in the village. Deputy head of the Itum-Kalinsky District Ruslan Saidov says that it used to be a big village during deportations in 1944. Then the villagers were allowed to return in 13 years.

The locals thanked Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov and constructors for the new bridge.

The village has gas and electricity. Saidov says that 12 families from the village want to return. They plan to organize animal husbandry and beekeeping. Special programs for farmers will support their initiative, Saidov reminds.
