The North Caucasian District Military Court has sentenced Oleg Gagiyev to a life-term in jail for assassinating high-ranking officials, including the Vladikavkaz mayor, RIA Novosti reports.
Gagiyev organized a criminal group in 2007-2008, which specialized in assassinating functionaries and other citizens of North Ossetia. His gang murdered North Ossetian Vice Premier Kazbek Pagiyev, Vladikavkaz Mayor Vitaly Karayev, Chief of the first department of criminal investigation of the Interior Ministry Vitaly Cheldiyev and his son.
