Song order for Eurovision 2012 set

The song order for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku has been set for 42 states. Azerbaijan will be 13th at the final, Azerbaijani spokeswoman Sabina Babayeva said, Trend reports.The first semi-final of the first 18 states in Baku will be held on May 22 according to the following order: Montenegro, Iceland, Greece, Latvia, Albania, Romania, Switzerland, Belgium, Finland, Israel, San Marino, Cyprus, Denmark, Russia, Hungary, Austria, Moldova and Ireland.
The second semi-final of 18 states will be held on May 24 according to the following order: Serbia, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Malta, Belarus, Portugal, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Sweden, Georgia, Turkey, Estonia, Slovakia, Norway, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Lithuania.France will be 9th, UK 1st, Germany 20th, Italy 10th and Spain 19th.
Baku will host the 57th Eurovision Song Contest at the Baku Crystal Hall in 2012. It will have a capacity of 23,000 spectators and will have large monitors for 16,000 more to watch the show live.. The contest will be held under the Fire Flower logo and under the “Light Your Fire” slogan.
Azerbaijan won the right to host the song contest after winning it in Dusseldorf in 2011 with performance of its singers Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell & Nikki).
Yan Ola Sand, supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest, said on Tuesday that there is still a lot of work to do. He expressed regret that Armenia refuses to take part in the contest.
