The Russian Eurovision group, 'Buranovskiye Babushki', celebrated Nowruz with the Azerbaijani diaspora of Izhevsk, Russian media report.
The band had decided not to perform before the contest, but made an exception.
Buranovskiye Babushki, a group of women aged from 43 to 86 who sing traditional songs and pop classics, have been voted by popular demand to represent Russia in the forthcoming Eurovision song contest.
