Adolf Hitler in shampoo ad provokes outrage of Turkish Jewish community

The Jewish community in Turkey is outraged by a shampoo commercial. The authors of the ad used a video recording of the leader of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler. The Chief Rabbinate of the country issued a statement condemning the ad, the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet reports.

In the ad, Hitler is shown talking, with subtitles reading: "If you do not wear women's clothes, do not use women's shampoo. Take this. Real men use this shampoo."

Turkey's Chief Rabbi Isak Halevi wrote a statement condemning the use of Hitler's image for promotional purposes. He stressed that the Jewish community has previously requested the removal of the scandalous advertising from broadcast, but the request was not acted on.
