The president of Gaziantepspor FC, İbrahim Kızıl, has been arrested for fixing matches in Turkey, Trend reports.
The club’s president was arrested together with 15 other staff members.
The president of Trabzonspor FC, Sadri Shener, responsible for the Leven Kizil national teams and some football players, was arrested earlier as part of the same case.
This is the second major police operation against corruption in football. 55 people, including prominent coaches and football players, were arrested in Istanbul in April 2010.
