Iran’s Shiraz province has seen the opening of the first solar power plant in the Middle East, making Iran one of the world’s top 4 users of solar power, Iranian State TV and Radio Company reports.
Muhammad Kamali, an expert of the Organization for New Energy Sources, said yesterday that efforts of Iranian scientists and students of Shiraz University contributed to the plant’s construction.
