Iran plans to double exports of electricity to Turkey in two months, spokesman of the Iranian Energy Ministry Abdolhamid Farzam said. Iran exports 190 MW/h to Turkey daily, PressTV reports.
Iran has concluded construction of a 230-Kw power line in the north-west of the country. It will export 400 Mw/h to Turkey. Iranian exports of electricity have increased by 30% this year, compared with 2011, totaling 8.6 kW/h.
Iranian Deputy Energy Minister Mohammad Behzad said on April 2 that the state had diversified exports of electricity to neighbours. Its thermal, gas, steam-gas and hydro-power plants have been supplemented with a nuclear power plant.
