The bridge over River Garachay on the 156th km of the Baku-Guba-Russia Highway has collapsed, Trend reports.
The bridge was 90 meters long and 8 meters wide. 20 meters of the bridge collapsed. Traffic was restricted in the area.
Ulfat Guseynov’s car fell down the bridge during the collapse, he was injured.
One of the main reasons for the collapse is the local river stone quarry used for construction, Azeroilservice reports.
Specialists are studying the accident. An alternate road through the Khachmazsky District is being used.
