Billionaire Trump in sewer accident in Batumi

During the visit of US billionaire Donald Trump to the Radisson Hotel in Batumi, the sewer system broke on Sunday night, Vzglyad reports.

David Robakidze, head of the Adjara office of the Labour Party, said that the accident happened at about 0.30 am. Staff had to take out toilet waste from the basement in plastic bags. The stink was experienced all over the street.

Batumi held a presentation of the Donald Trump Tower with attendance of the billionaire himself and President Mikheil Saakashvili.

Construction of the 47-storey skyscraper is to end in a year. It will have a hotel and apartments, commercial offices and a casino. A similar tower is planned in Tbilisi.

Trump’s partner in Georgia is Silk Road Group. The project is worth about $250 million.

Donald Trump has $2.9 billion of assets, according to a Forbes publication in 2011. Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili met Trump last year. The president said that Batumi will be an Eastern European city “better than Singapore”. Trump praised Saakashvili for his role in the country’s development.
