The cultural and historic heritage center of Mstislav Rostropovich and Galina Vishnevskaya at the Kudrinskaya Square, 46/54, and its land are now under management of the Culture Ministry, Culture Minister Alexander Avdeyev said on Tuesday, RIA Novosti reports.
Construction should take about 3-4 years, the official added.
The building at the Kudrinskaya Square has a branch of the Russian Museum Association of Musical Culture named after Glinka. People’s Artist of the USSR Galina Vishnevskaya requested Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to form a center for a collection of cultural and historic values back in 2011.
