Lawyer Dagir Khasavov, notorious for urging the formation of Shariah courts in Russia, is on a visit to a European state, Interfax reports.
In an interview with REN TV on April 24, Khasavov said that Russian Muslims do not like the secular courts and should use Shariah courts, otherwise “Moscow would be covered in blood”. The Prosecutor General’s Office sees extremism elements in the statement.
The Russian Institute for Culturology said that the statement was made to escalate hatred and abuse people for their religion, spokeswoman of the Prosecutor General’s Office Marina Gridneva said.
