The finals of the Russian Football Cup may be switched from Yekaterinburg to Grozny, Sport-Express reports.
It could happen if the Russian Football Union and the Russian Football Premier League consider the Central Stadium of Yekaterinburg unsuitable for the final. The Chechen authorities have already guaranteed to fulfil all the requirements to host the games.
The main problem of Yekaterinburg is the stadium pitch itself. The RFU visited the Ural capital two weeks ago and was unsatisfied with the stadium. The final decision will be made on May 4-5.
The final match of the Russian Football Cup will be held on May 9. Moscow Dynamo and Kazan Rubin will compete.
