Baku offers accommodation at boats for Eurovision guests

Baku offers three boatss for guests arriving for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, Trend cites Nahid Bagirov, head of the Tourism Association of Azerbaijan, as saying.

The boats will be located at the Baku Bay in the National Coastal Park. Each can hold up to 100 people.

Accomodation at hotels continues, Bagirov notes. About 5,000 people have been granted rooms.

Official delegations of singers started to Gobustan, Absheron, Shamakha and Qabala on May 13. They were provided with enough guides.

Baku will host the 57th Eurovision Song Contest at the Baku Crystal Hall in 2012. It will have a capacity of 23,000 spectators and will have large monitors for 16,000 more to watch the show live. Semi-finals will be held on May 22 and 24, final on May 26. The contest will be held under the Fire Flower logo and under the “Light your fire” slogan.

Azerbaijan won the right to host the song contest after winning it in Dusseldorf in 2011 with performance of its singers Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell & Nikki).
