119 million rubles stolen in Karachay-Cherkessia

 

The police have initiated a case against staff of the inter-district inspection N4 of the Directorate of the Russian Federal Tax Service in Karachay-Cherkessia. They are suspected of stealing 119 million rubles, a spokesman of the prosecutors Ali Makaov said, RIA Novosti reports.

Former Chief Inspector of the inter-district office Zarem Kiyatov, former Chief of the section for tax checks Shamil Kemov and tax inspector Vladimir Lamkov are involved in the case. The local budget lacks 65 million rubles. The first case against them was initiated in 2010.

Director general of Kiyevo-Zhuraki and director of Merkury-2 are also involved. The case of Kiyatov, Kemov and Lamkov has 11 suspects.

Businessmen Ayshat Alibutayev and Oleg Motylev are cooperating with the police. They were also part of the scheme. They got 3 and 4 years of prison respectively.
