Azerbaijan’s Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kemaleddin Heydarov visited Zagatala region again after the quake occurred in north-west of the country last evening. According to APA, Heydarov visited several villages affected by the yesterday’s quake, met with the local residents and learnt their problems.
Two strong quakes hit Zagatala region on May 7, as a result of which 3000 constructions collapsed and seriously damaged. AZN 20 million were allocated from the state budget for the elimination of the quake consequences.
The region was hit by another strong quake last evening. Its magnitude was 6 on Richter scale in the epicenter and 4 and 5 in nearby areas. Most of the buildings seriously damaged during the previous quakes collapsed. The quake damaged regional hospital as well.
